SANTA BARBARA, CA – A family moving to the SB area is seeking to hire a long-term Nanny/Family Assistant to join their family FULL-TIME. The ideal schedule for them is MONDAY-FRIDAY and every other SATURDAY (guaranteed 30 hours per a week). Pay is $25-$30/hr. via payroll, plus mileage reimburse for work miles driven, paid time off including sick and vacation, plus paid holidays. Their two girls are 1 and 2 years old. The do have one older dog that is mostly outdoors, so please be okay with pets. Must also have your own car with a good driving record, and proper auto insurance. Occasional travel with the family is expected. The job starts the beginning of August 2024.
This is a terrific position for a seasoned Nanny/Family Assistant who is seeking to work full-time and stick with a family long-term. All standard nanny duties include meal prep and cooking for their kids, child's laundry, dishes, light housekeeping, and general pick up. Please note that on some days the toddler will go to preschool, and on other days the care is for both girls. The ideal Nanny for this family is someone who is someone who has a lot of experience with toddlers, has an active interest in Montessori and gentle parenting, experience with sleeps schedules for children who are growing and maturing, someone energetic, very loving, trustworthy, and reliable, and genuinely happy. The family is faith based, caring, compassionate, flexible, ever-growing, and team-minded family with a fluctuating household schedule. The nanny will be considered an extension to the family and a valuable resource. The right person should be able to adapt and pivot day to day, have good communication skills and be able to ask questions for clarity with the ability to take lead as needed. Their girls love music and to sing, dance, and giggle, so someone who is will to have fun with them will make everyone’s day enjoyable. The parents ideal Nanny to them is someone who is a go-getter, shares the same parenting goals in raising independent and caring young women, mature, super active and also understand how important it is to fill their daughters’ lives with fun and engaging activities.
